I've spent most of the last 3 days in front of my computer updating all the course listings for the McGill Department of English website. 134 pages changed! It was beautifully repetitive and brain-numbing. Occasionally, I'd tune in and think "that course looks good," or "I miss that guy," or "I fear Foucault." I like how the website keeps me connected to that place.
There is a big pile of clothes on my bed, ready to fold itself neatly into my father's ex duffel bag.
First, though: coffee at Worcester, drinks at Winchester Road, supper on North Parade. I'll miss you, Oxford. I took books out of the EFL yesterday, though. That'll keep me connected to this place.
I think my holiday soundtrack's gonna involve some Prince. Apparently the Internet has reached southern Italy (bless). Will endeavour to post from there.
